Popular Hairstyles for 2015
Hairstyles Back in Fashion
What better way to ring in the new year than with a new hairstyle? Here are some of the top styles that are sure to be popular in 2015.
Pixie cuts became popular in 2014 and will continue to be trendy this year. Stars like Kristen Stewart, Scarlett Johansson, and Keke Palmer have been sporting this style. An edgy pixie cut can be both rebellious and feminine while accentuating your cheekbones, neck, and jawline. To get the look, spray volumizing mist on damp hair. Blow-dry it in several directions with your fingers. Spread a bit of light wax through your hair, part it on one side, and flip it over.
Short, defined waves that frame the face, such as those worn by Sienna Miller, Alexa Chung, and Julianne Hough, will be popular in 2015. Simply blow-dry your hair outward with your fingers. Use a polishing wax to define and separate strands, and then style however you wish.
Farrah Fawcett's iconic 1970s feathered hairstyle is making a comeback with stars such as Taylor Swift, Lucy Hale, and Ashley Benson. To get the look, spray a volumizing mist on your roots and blow-dry your hair forward using your fingers. Smooth your hair up, down, left, and right with a round brush and then spray a light hairspray. This style works either with or without bangs and with any face shape.
The blunt midi cut is also becoming popular. This straight-cut style has no layers and a bit of feathering at the ends. This style looks best on someone with an oval face shape, such as Kendall Jenner, Elizabeth Banks, or Hailee Steinfeld. Apply straightening balm to your wet hair. Part your hair in the middle all the way to the top of your head and dry it with a paddle brush until it is straight and shiny. Apply a serum, and then blow-dry it again with the brush until it is straight.
Some stars, such as Suki Waterhouse, Julianne Moore, and Megan Fox are choosing shorter waves that end just blow the collar bone. This effortless look has natural volume. Apply a volumizing cream and anti-frizz cream to your hair. Twist it into a diffuser until it is dry. Frame tendrils around your face, and then add serum to them to finish the look.
