Style Tips for Spring Weddings in CT
Hair and Makeup Style Tips by The Beauty Bar
If you have a spring wedding on the calendar then the occasion is not too far off. Even though snow continues to cover the ground and the warmer air is a few weeks away doesn't mean you can't start planning your bridal hair and makeup now.
Here are some tips that will help you plan a hair style and makeup look that will make you shine on your wedding day:
- One mistake brides often make, no matter what time of year, is waiting until the last minute to make a hair or makeup appointment. When you rush the beauty styling you won't always be happy with the results. Also, if you are trying a new look and it doesn't come out well you don't much lead time to correct it. Make an appointment with your stylist a few months before the wedding to discuss ideas so when the time comes you will be ready.
- The weather may be humid and this can cause hair to be unruly. A safe bet is to stick with styles you are comfortable with. Don't try curling naturally straight hair and vice versa. Also, apply an anti-frizz serum and comb it through evenly to prevent hair from frizzing.
- Choose makeup colors that not only suit your natural skin tone but also match the season. Spring is known for pale and light hues such as yellows, pinks and soft greens and these colors will match the theme better than vibrant and bright shades.
- Another good makeup tip is to go with airbrush makeup. Airbrush makeup uses a 1/3 less product than traditional makeup and won't stream or smear. Since the weather may be warm and humid the last thing you want is perspiration causing your makeup to run. With airbrush makeup you can flaunt your style with confidence knowing your makeup is up to the task.
Spring can be tricky since the weather is often unpredictable. From bright and sunny to dark and rainy, the spring season in Connecticut is hard to predict so keep that in mind when selecting hair styles and makeup.
