Valentine's Day is the most romantic day of the year. If the man in your life is planning a special night out on the town you want to look your absolute best. Whether you are attending a live show, enjoying dinner for two or dancing the night away, how you plan your hair and makeup will play a major role in how successful your date is. At The Beauty Bar we want every woman to feel special on this day so we offer some helpful hair and makeup tips so you can make heads turn.

Be Dramatic with Blush – Red is the color of the day and don't be afraid to go a shade deeper when it comes to doing make up for an evening on the town. You can re-create that first-date flush by using a cheek color that is one shade darker than your everyday hue. Many Valentine's Day dates take place in dim-lit restaurants and going darker with your blush will create a dramatic look that offers an enticing enchantment.

Make your Lips Available – Who ever heard of a Valentine's Day date ending without a goodnight kiss? We recommend shying away from bright red lipsticks that can be intimidating. Going with a soft pink or berry hue that are no more than two shades darker than your natural lip color is a good way to keep your lips colored without going overboard.

Define your Brows and Lashes – Your eyes will be the focal point of the evening and it is important to treat this area with care and flair. Fill in your eyebrows with a soft taupe brow pencil to frame the face and add balance to a strong lip color. Apply two coats of shiny, black mascara from the lash roots to the tips to create an alluring look that will bring out the natural color of your eyes.
