Her name is Patricia Krentcil but you probably know her as the notorious “tanning mom”. The 44 year old woman from Nutley, New Jersey (fitting town) is facing a charge of second-degree child endangerment for exposing her 6-year-old daughter, Anna, to a tanning salon bed that may have led to a harmful sun burn that caused a rash on the child’s skin. Though Krentcil denies ever putting her daughter in a tanning bed others are concerned the unnaturally bronze bomber may be suffering from a condition known as “tanerexia”, the overindulgence of tanning bed usage that may lead to skin cancer.
Whether or not Krentcil will face up to 10-years in prison for the child endangerment charge is up to the court system in New Jersey but simply looking at this woman’s complexion is reason enough for people to avoid tanning beds and stick with spray tanning instead, like the kids on The Jersey Shore.
