Inspirational Child Makeup Artist Loses 6 Year Battle with Cancer

Talia Castellano passed away at the young age of 13, after a six year battle with two forms of aggressive cancer.

Talia Castellano made the best of the life she had by inspiring thousands of women with her makeup tutorials on YouTube. She became an internet sensation because of her extensive cosmetic knowledge and battle with two forms of aggressive cancer. Her story came to a sad end when Talia passed away recently after a six year fight with her cancers. She was an inspiration to everyone she met and who watched her videos.

Talia was diagnosed with both neuroblastoma and preleaukemia at the young age of seven. She made the best of her situation by sharing her love for beauty and makeup by giving instructional videos on YouTube. Her channel was so popular that she amassed over 750,000 subscribers. She taught others how to use matte bronzer, eyeliner, fake eyelashes, and more. She captivated her viewers with her makeup tutorials and video blogs about her cancer treatments.

Even though she lost her hair to chemotherapy, Talia proved beauty comes in many forms. Her Facebook profile picture was of her with “Make Up Is My Wig” written on her head. Her maturity and amazing outlook on life was not that of a middle school girl. It was as if she had already lived a lifetime and was teaching others how to cherish their lives.

When Talia appeared on Ellen DeGeneres’ talk show, she learned that she was chosen to be an honorary CoverGirl. Talia said that “In a hundred years, I would like to be remembered as the bubbly girl who wanted to do something about childhood cancer”. She was an inspiration to us all and will never be forgotten.
